Yamaha YZR500, 1980.

Recommended Posts

Guys,

This is my YZR500 that I have just finished after starting it in the late 1980's.

In those days there were no aftermarket detailing parts, so the model is OOB.

I have decided to display the bike with the cowling off, so I built a hanger stand for it.

Any comments greatly accepted.......

Cheers,

Geoff.

Very nice mate a clean build.  I've got the same kit and an RG500 both made about the same time as yours, not to this standard though, I was teenager back then.

They're somewhere in my loft, I'll have to try dig them out.

Another very high quality build Geoff! I really like the finish you got on the paintwork of the cowlings, the sheen is about perfect for the age of the bike :)
